Marketing Incentives (Updated Feb 19, 2012) Incentives Earned To Date
I grew up with a voracious appetite for reading. One of my favorite series of books when I was young was The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. For the children in the series, there was always a new adventure to be had. A new discovery to be made. These tales inspired me to seek out my own adventures. Years later, I was fortunate enough to be re-inspired by Mr. Lewis after reading a quote of his:
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
For me, Toastmasters has provided an unending stream of new goals and new dreams. With those have come a stream of rewards and opportunities which I never expected. I know many of you, my fellow Toastmasters, feel the same way. In the pursuit of your goals you came to Toastmasters and received more than you anticipated.
I came to Toastmasters expecting the same thing that you probably did: to become comfortable speaking to small groups of people. But throughout the past six years I have continually found extra benefits from my membership. These have inspired me time and again to share my personal success story with others, invite them to join Toastmasters, and find those “extras” that are waiting for them.
Because of my desire to share Toastmasters with others, I chose to run for Lieutenant Governor Marketing for our district. I want to extend the Toastmasters benefits to others by expanding District 23 through increased membership and additional clubs. I hope that each of you will join me in pursuing my two goals for the year:
- making our current clubs larger and stronger,
- spreading the Toastmasters program into new areas through new clubs.
As my friend, Lt. Governor Education & Training TK O’Geary says, “We want to set you up for success.” To that I will add, “And reward you for those successes.”
In that light, I present my Marketing Incentives Plan for the year. You can earn rewards for starting new clubs, growing your current clubs, taking on the challenge of coaching small clubs to success, and even for maintaining the membership strength of your existing clubs.
Please contact me and let’s see how we can work together to make the 2011-2012 year one that is full of realized goals and dreams for our district’s current members and those who will soon be!
