The Eldorado High School Speech & Debate Club “The Speagles” is hosting the “Eldorado Gold” Speech & Debate Tournament October 29 & 30, 2010 at Eldorado High School. The times are Friday October 29 from 3 – 9 pm and all day Saturday, October 30. Statewide competitors will compete in three different types of speech/debate formats.

The Eldorado host team is seeking volunteer judges for the various competitions. Judges can select the event they prefer to judge and the accompanying 3-hour time slot. You can judge individual speech competition or debates, your choice. There will be a hospitality lounge with refreshments available to judges throughout the tourney. Parking is available on the SE corner of the school where judges will enter.

This is a great opportunity to assist the local forensic community and to see some great young talent many of whom are potential Toastmasters. It’s also a good opportunity to get some positive publicity for Toastmasters.

Dave Coulie, DTM, is assisting Mike Mulcahy from the “Speagles” Club in the quest for judges.

If you are interested in helping out the time slots are 3-6 and 6-9pm on Oct 29th and 8-11, 11-2, 2-4 & 4-7 on Saturday. Contact Mike Mulcahy by email at mmulcahy1701@gmail.com or via phone at 505-379-2029. Mike will take your time and contact preferences and send additional info.
