Gail Rubin, a member of Albuquerque Challenge Toastmasters club for the past three years and principal of A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die, has earned the designation Certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement (CT) from the national Association for Death Education and Counseling®.

The “CT” credential demonstrates Ms. Rubin’s expertise and involvement in the field of death, dying and bereavement. Through her company, A Good Goodbye, LLC, The Doyenne of Death® helps start funeral planning conversations with a light touch on a serious subject.

Gail Rubin, CT, is a Certified Funeral Celebrant, funeral planning consultant, TV and radio host, and a popular speaker who uses humor and films to get the funeral planning conversation started. She’s the author of the award-winning book, A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die and The Family Plot Blog. The 12-episode television series she hosts, A Good Goodbye, is now available on DVD.

Her Internet radio show, also called A Good Goodbye, helps get the conversation started with expert interviews on a wide range of topics, including funeral etiquette, green burial, consumer concerns, hospice, grief, and end-of-life issues.
