Enriched Speakers is the first chartered club of the 2011-2012 Toastmaster year. Located in Eunice, New Mexico, the club is unique in that it spans the state borders of New Mexico and Texas. Enriched Speakers is an open club, however most of the members work for either URENCO USA (UUSA) or Waste Control Specialists (WCS).
UUSA is a uranium enrichment facility which enriches uranium for fuel for nuclear power plants. WCS is a radioactive, hazardous and mix waste disposal facility. The two companies are neighbors; UUSA on the New Mexico side of the state line with WCS on the Texas side of the line.
Employees of both companies with a shared interest in improving our public speaking and leadership abilities came together to form Enriched Speakers. The club was presented their charter on July 19, 2011 by Immediate Past District 23 Governor, Don Dubois, DTM.
The club currently has 22 members with interested individuals visiting each meeting. They meet at the UUSA Training Center in Eunice at 5:00 p.m. (Mountain) on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. If you find yourself near Eunice, New Mexico, please plan a visit to the club!
